Climbing has been a part of my life since I was 8 years old, inspired by my grandfather, an accomplished alpine climber. Growing up surrounded by this passion, it felt natural to follow in his and my mother's footsteps. My competitive journey began thanks to my older sister, who encouraged me to give it a try. Once I started, I was hooked, and there was no turning back!
At 17, I moved to Wuppertal to fully commit to speedclimbing. Training with the German National Team in Hilden was a dream come true. Alongside my athletic career, I completed my school degree and began studying law, learning to balance academics with my love for the sport.
What drives me in speed climbing is the relentless pursuit of perfection. It’s about finding the perfect run, shaving off fractions of a second, and nailing every move with precision as a result of countless attempts. I enjoy pushing myself, observing how I respond to joy, frustration, and failure.
This sport has taught me resilience and perseverance, and my excitement for it is as strong today as it was when I began this journey in 2017. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and I love learning something new every day.
My ultimate goal is to represent speedclimbing on the Olympic stage. In 2024, I came close, narrowly missing my qualification ticket by just a few places. That experience has only fueled my determination to keep pushing forward and achieve my goal !
Beyond my personal ambitions, I’m passionate about inspiring others. I hope to show younger generations the beauty of speedclimbing and to pass on the fire that has kept me going—the resilience to never give up and the ability to find joy even in the face of challenges.
Cheers to Speedclimbing !
